"Commander, they are either not receiving us or ignoring us. I have an idea, maybe we can adjust a tachyon pulse that might reset whatever cloaking device they are using." Wolf suggested.
"Do it, in the mean time fire another warning shot, this time closer and send the message again, if still no reply, next shot is to hit them." Quinn ordered.
=^=D'BrooNi to Bridge. Engineering is coming back onboard. Recommend getting a safe distance from Resurrection=^=
=^= Received =^= Quinn replied. He turned to helm.
"As she said, lets get ourselves some distance away, warn the Aasimar ships and any others in the immediate area as well."

Sharon fingers flew across the board, her long nails tapping out each sequence and fired phasers and a couple of torpedoes and then sent the tachyon beam. The ship became visible for a moment long enough for a torpedo to hit its mark and then the ship left and then the engineer called.
Sharon moved her fingers quickly and the ship turned and went a good distance from the station. They watched as explosions were seen all across the station. Sharon let go of her emotions and sobbed wiping the tears away. The other ship was gone but Sharon knew it would be back and she would be prepared.

K'Nara stormed back on the bridge. All it took was a 2 second look for Quinn to jump to his feet out of the command chair.
"D'BrooNi's people are back, we are moving to a safe . . . . ." was all he got out before the Phoenix was hit by a shock wave.
K'Nara roared happily as for a brief second she saw the outline of the ship they were hunting. Then the view was showing all end of colours and explosions. Her new ensign was suddenly sobbing.
"Keep a lock on that ship," K'Nara bellowed giving Sharon a look as the Captain came out of his ready room.
"What in the hell . . . ." he trailed off as his mouth flew open watching the scene infront of him.
"Maam we don't have it on the scanners anymore," someone dared to tell her.
K'Nara thumped the nearest thing to her that just happened to be the rail leading to the higher part of the bridge behind them. She felt the Aasimers eyes, who was rather close to her on her.
"Get every piece of data you have on that vessel," K'Nara snapped. "Every scan, every minute thing we were able to get in that window."
"Aasimer vessels are requesting we open comms," communications informed us.
All eyes including K'Naras snapped to the Captain.
"On screen," Brahms replied.

<posting as captain of Aasimar ship>
"On screen," Brahms replied.
"Captain Brahms, Quinn, crew of the Dark Pheonix, I'm deeply sorry for the losses that have been inflicted upon you, we came as quickly as we could." The Aasimar captain looked troubled.
"Thank you, and thank you again for all the help you have given us." Brahms replied.
"It was the least we could do, now I do believe that we have a ship to chase down. We were able to get a tracking device onto the ship before it fled, but they will quickly realise so we will have to act quickly, we are sending you some upgrades for your scanners that will allow you to see through their cloak."
"Again we thank you, if there is anything we can do to help you after this, you have it."
"I may have to take you up on that." A dark look passed over his face. "When you return I would like to speak to Quinn upon arrival, there are... matters... we need to discuss. Godspeed." The Aasimar cut the channel.
"Quinn, go help D'BrooNi get those upgrades sorted. Helm, after that ship." Brahms ordered.

Mel all but wrestled with Harley. "No time," she muttered batting the nurses tri-corder away. "I have too . . . . . . Ian . . . ."
Mel watched in horror as Ian was helped into sickbay along with what looked like a catlike being. She could feel Leiko running through several alien species she had encountered during her life.
"Kzinti," she muttered in awe. It was very rare to see one in starfleet. Ian had clumsly snaped his arms round her waist as Harley was now attending the injured Kzinti. "Thought it was a hallucination," he muttered into her hair, "but he's real."
<Tak Science>
She whirled round, kissed him softly. His eyes betrayed how still dosed up he was on his medication. "I have to get back to engineering, keep an eye out here on things?" she asked knowing he was feeling fairly useless cooped up here. He nodded yet allowed himself to be pulled back to his bio-bed by an annoyed looking nurse. A quick smiled passed Mel's lips as she then hotfooted it back to her domain.
The first thing she saw was Charlie who engulfed her in a huge hug. "Good work," she told him well aware that for once her tempermental second in command had deserved it.
"Bridge have sent down scans of what we got off that ship briefly," he said.
"We found it," Mel smiled.
"Yes but its gone again now Mel," Quinn Dexter walked into engineering. "And you are not going to li . . . ."
Mel swore cottoning on to what he was getting at. It looked suspiciously like . . . .
"Wahiri, oh for the gods. Why is it always them?" she cut him off.
The Aasimer shrugged cooly but Mel could tell her friend was just as concerned as she was.

Post by Naois Mercy on Sept 14, 2007 14:47:49 GMT
Naois could handle just about anything, even crying women, but apparently, not when she burying her face into the fabric of his tunic and he was holding the woman in question close to him. He stood there, covered in dust and grime, with a woman who was equally dusted. Both of them had briefly forgotten about poor Donolly, but just when he was about to mention the old doctor, a team of suited people arrived and started extracting them.
Seconds later, he found himself in the Phoenix' sickbay, fussed over by several nurses. With a little wry amusement he saw a female nurse he now identified as Harley Horn, fuss over the chief engineer.
Naois turned his attention back to Valeia, now that Donolly too was taken care of. "I am sorry I shouted at you," he whispered at her as he wiped a tear from her eye. Then he brushed a few strands of hair from her face, and it was then that he discovered the cut on her forehead. "You are injured!" he exclaimed, pulling the nearest available nurse over. "See to her," he ordered, "I have to get back to the bridge." He leaned down slightly to gently kiss her on her lips. "I will be back soon, I promise," he told her, then limped off.
On the bridge, he walked in on the security chief and his assistant casting eachother hateful looks. Naois knew the story behind the two, and thought that so far the chief had been handling the situation very well, and he didn't know what had happened that would cause him to lose grip. He sensed the hatred, as it hit him like a brick wall.
Reeling back, he caught sight of the first officer, only to be hit by her anger as well. "Resurrection has been evacuated," he reported, at the same time Peter Horn uttered exactly the same words. The two men smiled at eachother, then diverted their attentions back to what they were doing.
Catching sight of the view on the main screen, he also saw the alien vessels. "Who are they?" he queried, "are they the ones who attacked my station?"

Post by Dr. Valeia Roquel Mercy on Sept 14, 2007 16:27:36 GMT
Everything had happened so fast after she’d broken down. Valeia’s head had started to spin, so she could barely remember what happened and hadn’t really realized what was going on at the time. The only thing she could clearly remember was that Donolly was hurt, it was her fault, and that Naois had yelled at her. First Naois was holding her, then she was being dragged away, and then she suddenly found herself back in her own sickbay.
Someone, another nurse, had seen to Naois, but Valeia had just stood there as if rooted to the floor, completely confused. The room was spinning so fast, and her head hurt so badly, she couldn’t concentrate. The doctor struggled to pull herself together but couldn’t see to figure out how. Then Naois was back. “I am sorry I shouted at you,” he apologized as he wiped a few tears from her face.
That seemed to break through the fog a little bit, and Valeia smiled at him, grateful that he didn’t hate her and wasn’t angry with her. At least one bad thing that she could remember was taken care of. Now if only she hadn’t been responsible for Donolly being hurt… It was then that Naois’ fingers brushed the cut on her forehead, and the doctor winced in pain.
“You’re injured!” Naois exclaimed as he instantly stopped a nurse that was walking by and ordered her to treat Valeia before telling her he was going to the bridge, kissing her, and then he was gone. Frowning in confusion, the doctor allowed herself to be led to a biobed. The nurse was asking her what happened, but the movement towards the bed caused her head to spin even faster.
Concerned that her boss was not responding, the nurse had carefully helped Valeia onto the biobed and run a few scans. Once the fact that the blow to the head had resulted in a mild concussion was revealed and 4ccs of Trianoline had been administered, the doctor’s head stopped spinning and her memory cleared.
“Easy, Ma’am.” the nurse cautioned. “Give the medicine time to work.” After the wound on her head and hand had been healed with a dermal regenerator, Valeia had begun to feel much more like herself. Despite the fact that a concussion would explain why she had broken down the way she did, the doctor felt rather embarrassed by her emotional outburst, especially in lieu of helping Donolly as she should have. That was already the second breakdown she’d had that day.
“Donolly, where is he? Is he alright?” Valeia finally asked once the nurse had finished treating the damage.
“He’s over there, being treated by the EMH.” the nurse had replied. “You need to be careful though. We still need to keep an eye on your head.”
“My injuries are minor. Considering the situation, a mild, already treated concussion is not a priority.” Valeia replied, returning her focus to being a doctor once more as she crossed sickbay to talk to the EMH. “How is he? Is he going to be alright?” Valeia asked Doctor Keller, as she glanced sadly at the unconscious form of the older doctor.
<Tag Sianna>
Once the EMH had informed her of the prognosis and shooed her away, Valeia turned her attention to a new, rather unusual patient. Her tricorder indicated Kzinti, a species the doctor had never seen or encountered before.
Completely unaware of the political implications of his race, Valeia had calmly treated his injuries before administering a stimulant to wake him up. “Hello, Ensign. I’m Doctor Roquel. It looks like you took a fall, but I’ve repaired the injuries you sustained. You’ll be sore for several days, and you should report back to sickbay should you experience any increasing pain.”

Post by Commander Peter Horn on Sept 14, 2007 19:19:55 GMT
Peter stood as straight up as a rod as he listened to the Klingon first officer's tirade. He nodded here and there where he thought it was appropriate, but he wasn't quite listening. Her anger, no her fury had hit him full on and it was all he could do not to stagger back under the force of it.
He kept his gaze fixed on her face, keeping careful control of his own features. He didn't mind so much getting yelled at, especially since it gave him the satisfaction of seeing Sheena receive equal treatment.
Sheena on her part flushed a deep red as the Klingon carried on about the dishonour of having contacted sickbay to rat on her chief. "But..." she started, looking confused even as she sent Peter a look of pure hatred.
"Silence!" the Klingon roared, slamming her fist on the table, causing it to dent. She continued to rant, telling them they needed to sort out their issues and do that anywhere but on the bridge or while on duty.
Peter merely nodded again, adding a meek "yes ma'am", before they were dismissed. He briefly needed to leave the bridge and entered the turbolift to take a deck down to the security office. He noted Sheena left the bridge with him and as soon as the doors closed, she rounded on him, slamming him hard against the wall.
Unprepared for such an action, Peter gasped in surprise, but recovered himself quickly. In quick reflex he had broken her grip and had his fingers around her throat. "Do not threaten me again Sheena," he said, his voice dangerous. "You do not know what you may get yourself into. Do you want a taste of what I can do? No-one would ever discover...unlike if you were to do anything to me." He dropped his mental shields and gave her a taste of the pain he could inflict by sheer thought.
Only briefly was enough, as it cost him severely in energy, energy that was better spent towards healing. Sheena sat sobbing on the floor of the car and Peter hoisted her back to her feet. "I am sorry Sheena, but I will not allow you to terrorise me, especially not when we are on duty. However you behave when we are off duty is your affair, however when we are on duty I expect civilised behavour and respect due to my rank. Understood?"
The woman nodded and they both exited at the nevel to attend to their own work. Minutes later, just prior to the academy commandant arriving on the bridge, Peter and Sheena returned, looking calmer and more controlled. The Vulcan security chief nodded an acknowledgement to Naois, then sent K'Nara a meaningful look denoting that their issue was being taken care of in a proper manner.

Sharon's hands flew across the board and the ship came about quickly photon torpedoes when flying and several hits were scored then nothing, no trail to follow. She brought the ship to a dead stop and ran the scans and came up with nothing.
"Commander, they have left, where I cannot tell from the scans but they were visible long enough to see them and I think if we adjust the tachyon beam we may find them a lot easier." Sharon said.
Sharon was worried about the people that were brought over from the station and wondered why anyone or who would attack a station.

Rampton listened to the conversation on the Phoenix Bridge .. He kept glancing at the large view-screen, not that the enemy vessel was going to oblige them by actually appearing. But he was also thinking of a way to show the ship ..
He watched as his boss and the Phoenix Security Chief spoke ..
"Resurrection has been evacuated." Naois reported, at the same time Peter Horn uttered exactly the same words, the two men smiled at each other, then diverted their attentions back to what they were doing.
Catching sight of the view on the main screen .. He suddenly saw the alien vessels. "Who are they ?" he queried, "Are they the ones who attacked my station ?"
There were now almost a dozen vessels in close proximity to the Star-base .. Unfortunately, non of them were the one they were looking for ....
It suddenly occurred to Mike, that given the situation, he would hide behind the station. But that was impossible due to the sheer number of ship's .. But, if their cloak was good enough, and they could maneuver close enough to the base of Resurrection .....
"Sir's ..." Mike began, then as he got everyones attention, he continued, "It is obvious that the ship has not got away .. I suggest we have a shuttle maneuver 'under' the base herself .. I think the enemy vessel may have returned to her original location."
There was several murmurs of agreement among the Officers, so he pushed on ..
"With your permission .." he looked directly at Naois, "I'd like to pilot a shuttle .. Maneuver under the base then vent plasma .. It will outline any cloak they are using .. If we can get a tractor lock on them .. There's every chance we can pull them away."
"We would have to be quick .. There is a distinct possibility that they could destroy their vessel if caught." Peter said, again people nodded, but the chance of getting them, along with some more information, was too good a chance to miss .. All agreed that the risk was worth the gain ..
"I'll take a shuttle and begin a general structural survey .. I'll move toward the lower decks then drop slowly .. It shouldn't arouse their suspicions." Rampton said, moving toward the turbo-lift ..
"Mike .. Be careful." Naois said, "If you suspect they know your intentions .. Get out of there .... Understand Commander !"
"Yes Sir." replied Rampton, knowing when he'd been given a cast iron order ..
He headed for the Shuttle-bay ..........

Sharon kept an eye on the board in case of any movement but quickly made A decision.
"Captain permission to adjust the tachyon beam, maybe with some adjustments I maybe able to find this ship if its still in the area." Sharon stated.
She was given the go ahead and her fingers flew across the board making small changes into the tachyon emitters. She also took a moment to answer the shuttles request for departure and gave him the green light. She watched the sensors as the shuttle left the shuttle bay.
Her adjustments turned up nothing Nada zip, but her sensor probe went off and it found something among the debris.
"Captain, I am picking up a piece of what may have come from the ship among the debris. Its roughly 4.5 meters in length and does not make up any part of the known framework of the station." She said.

<people, please read posts, in my last post i said that the ship had fled and there was a tracking device on it, those on the bridge would know that>
Quinn knew how much Mel hated the Wahiri, especially after what happened last time.
"The Aasimar ships have sent over some equipment so we can upgrade our sensors so we can detect their ship, they also managed to get a tracking device onto the other ship which we are following at the moment, but its only a matter of time before they find it, we need to get the upgrades in place before then, otherwise we will lose them."
"Lets get to it them." Mel started barking orders to her engineers.

The Kzinti nodded to her as he looked up slowly, trying his best to get out of the biobed. He shook his head as he found he could not. "This is not the best time perhaps for arising." He then squinted, forcing himself out of the medical resting furniture. "There are others here that need your assistance far more than I ever have." He looked her over gently as he attempted to find his tricorder, "And I have brought the other with me who was such an instrument in all of this destruction."
He exhaled gently, not being able to find what would have been left of his tricorder, "As a scientist, medicine is not beyond me. Though in my own people's lands we may not allow me to practice medicine, here I am able to assist if you so need it." Moving over to a replicator he began to feverishly tap over it.
A medical replicator of course was hardly designed to be used to create equipment, though he from memory produced a theoretically sound tricorder. When the beam materialized however, it was sort of a spine shaped morass. That was not to say that it did not work.
With this newly manufactured device he moved back to the Doctor. With a bow he removed the sensor lozenge. "I implore that I may be used for assistance. We may be a warrior race, but even Klingons have surgeons."
He sighed gently as he looked at the variety of patients around him. He then attempted to find one without a nurse, or one of whom he would be directed towards.

Post by Dr. Valeia Roquel Mercy on Sept 18, 2007 14:37:01 GMT
Valeia regarded the feline with suspicion, not because of his race or any sort of political influences of which she was unaware, but the simple fact that he was not a medical professional. While in an immediate emergency, the untrained or semi-trained could either provide assistance before the arrival of medical personnel or could assist trained medical personnel under supervision; this was not currently an immediate emergency. The last thing the doctor needed was a science officer making mistakes on patients in her sickbay. Still, his desire to help was genuine, so the Betazoid concocted a compromise and crossed to an open medkit.
“Here,” she said, handing the Kzinti a dermal regenerator. “Use this to heal any bruises or open wounds. That should help us move through some of the less serious patients more quickly. Oh, and don’t let anyone who was or is injured leave sickbay without seeing myself or Doctor Keller.” Valeia added pointing out the EMH, hoping that added assignment would appeal to the “warrior race” side of him that he had referred to earlier and prevent still injured patients from leaving.
In fact, the doctor thought as she moved towards a more seriously injured patient, with the Kzinti guarding the door, no one would be able to sneak off to resume their duties without medical authorization, something that was often done when sickbay was this busy. Valeia rather liked the idea of the science officer guarding the door for her, preventing seriously injured patients from leaving and allowing their condition to deteriorate, eventually causing more damage and more work.
Sianna had moved away from Donolly to work on other patients, leaving a frustrated looking doctor behind. After stabilizing the patient before her, Valeia crossed to the older doctor, still feeling terribly guilty, though he seemed pleased to see her, perhaps thinking he was about to be released. She, however, had other plans. “Hello, Donolly. How are you feeling?”
Sighing in irritation, the older doctor replied, “Perfectly capable of doing my job. Can’t you let me go? You know you need every pair of trained hands that you can get, and I’m fine now…”
He sounded like a little kid, but Valeia was hearing none of it. “You’re only feeling fine because you’re medicated and not moving. You broke nearly every rib and suffered severe internal damage, which is still healing as we speak, not to mention the micro-fractures to your spine. There’s no way you would let anyone, including me in this situation, go with that type of prognosis, and you know it.”
Glaring back at her, Donolly sulked, and for a moment, Valeia was almost positive he was thinking about disobeying her orders the second she wasn’t paying attention. “Don’t make me use the restraints. I know what you’re thinking, and I’ll use them if I have to, so just put those thoughts right out of your head.”
Usually being a Betazoid just saying she knew what anyone was thinking worked with the benefit of the doubt, and Donolly appeared to be no exception, as he seemed to sink lower onto the bio bed and pouted. “Fine, but I’m telling Naois what happened then.” he retorted sounding exactly like a spoiled child.
“Go right ahead. As long as I’m alright, he won’t get mad.” Valeia countered, although she honestly didn’t know what Naois would say or do if he found out that she’d disobeyed orders and willfully put herself in danger like that. She wasn’t entirely sure she wanted to find out either, but hopefully the bluff worked.
Sending Donolly a pointed look as she crossed the room, Valeia moved to treat another patient, a Tellarite. He was still unconscious from a severe blow to the head, and as the doctor began to run scans, she noticed his injuries were inconsistent with most of the injuries she’d treated. Rather than the typical crushing injuries involving broken bones and internal bleeding, his wounds were more consistent with a fall, like the science officer’s had been.
Shrugging slightly to herself, as at this point a patient was a patient, Doctor Roquel began to heal his injuries oblivious to the connection between Tak’s earlier comment on bringing the instrument of destruction with him and the unconscious patient on the biobed before her. Her only thoughts were of healing his injuries before moving on to treat the next patient.

~USS Dark Phoenix~
Peter continued scanning, from their immediate surroundings to the outer limits of their long range scanners. He raised his eyebrow as his scanners picked up an unidentified blip at the far edges of the scanners. "Commander," he signaled K'Nara and waved her over, "I am getting something on longrange. It is faint and I cannot identify it, but it is definately not Federation. I am sharing this information with the Aasimer, perhaps they can assist us."
He didn't wait for the Klingon to respond, instead signaled Sheena to open a data connection with the Aasimer and arrange the transfer. Surprisingly, the woman did so without comment and swiftly arranged the data transfer. "Thank you lieutenant Evans," Peter said politely, before returning his attention back to his scans. There was the blip again, but much closer.
"Looks like a cloaked vessel," Sheena commented as she leaned in to peer at the readings. "Romulans?"
Peter shook his head. "While I agree on your cloaked vessel theory, I doubt they are Romulans. In this instance, with Romulans peacefull living on Resurrection among Federation citizens, the Romulans would openly offer their assistance rather than rushing towards us under cloak."
Sheena nodded in agreement. "I guess we'll have to see what happens then. I'll alert all security teams to stay on the alert." She moved off to her own station, inwardly seething at having to be friendly with her chief. She couldn't wait for the next training session with him, then she'd show him how angry she was with him.
~somewhere out there~
Rahki glared at the main viewscreen of her brand new ship, the Wahiri-II. She had lost her original ship and had gone back to her homeworld in shame, however she had vowed revenge on the Humans and their pet-friends and she had been allowed the chance to do so.
At high speed, the Wahiri-II sped closer to the severely damaged station. Her partners in crime had done a good job damaging it, but soon the damage would be even greater. Many were already dead due to her plans, and more would soon die if her contractors did their job properly. They were being paid well enough for it, or so they thought anyway. Little did they know that they were going to provide the biggest bang yet.
She whirled around when someone reported their phase cloak was venting energy. "So fix it you dimwit!" she riled on the cat in question. They were now within transporting distance of the Phoenix and thanks to their newest technology, they could now transport from the Federation vessel even with their shields up.
Rahki knew the Phoenix would have her shields raised, especially when it was running the risk of getting hit by floating debris from the station. Her ears perked up at seeing the damage to the station, and her face split into a feline grin, baring her fangs, lashing her tail against the deck. "Locate the wingman," she ordered, "and get him here. Make sure you subdue him properly. I'm sure my former pet will not like his winged man being taken, and he'll wish he had stayed to be my pet."
The black-furred cat cringed as Rahki rounded on him, then nodded, holding the device ready. "Energise!"
From the Phoenix, Melanie D'BrooNi, jumped back in surprise as Quinn Dexter suddenly disappeared from before her eyes. Rahki clapped her paws together as the stunned Aasimer materialised on her bridge. Blackfur jumped forward and slapped the device on his chest, which Rahki immediately activated. "You're my pet now, Wingman," she purred, "behave and you'll have a pleasant life. Be troublesome, and I'll make you regret you were ever born."
Rahki nodded to Blackfur. "Take him to his new home, I'm sure he'll find it very homey." She turned to Quinn. "Oh, and just in case you get the bright idea of tearing the device off your chest...try it!" She watched Quinn glare at her in fury. "I said try it!" When he did, he fell down to his knees, squirming in agony. Rahki touched the control and the pain ceased. "That'll teach you what you needed to know," she purred, caressing his cheek in a mock-affection, "you can't take it off without inducing excruciating pain. And it'll only stop at my pleasure, so if you try again, I might let you suffer for a while. If you're wise, and I'm quite sure you are a very wise pet, you'll behave and obey."

Post by Naois Mercy on Sept 18, 2007 20:16:08 GMT
Naois had watched Rampton go, after pressing him to be careful and return to the ship at the first sign of danger. Feeling somewhat useless on the bridge of a well-oiled crew, Naois walked up to the first officer, who was in communication with the captain. "I am going to sickbay to see if I can assist," he informed both, "there is nothing I can do here on the bridge, you seem to have everything under control. I will be in sickbay."
At the nod of both, Naois left the bridge and headed for sickbay. He entered mayhem, nearly being barred entrance by a large cat. "Ahh, Ensign Tak," he greeted his former cadet, "have you been put into service as a doorstop now?" Seeing the Kzinti bare his teeth in response, Naois shook his head and held up his hands in defense. "You are the right person to keep patients from leaving," he commented, "and I believe you will do this job well until your services are needed on the bridge. Have you seen Doctor Roquel?"
Before the science chief could respond, Naois already spotted the doctor, who looked exhausted. "Valeia you need to take a break," he told his lover, "you cannot push yourself like this, you will exhaust yourself beyond redemption." He nodded towards the bed Donolly was occupying. "How is Antoine? Will he recover?"
Naois took the Betazoid doctor into a brief embrace, then cupped her face and kissed her gently. "Something is troubling you," he added, sensing something wasn't right, "you are hiding something from me. Why are you hiding something? Is there something I need to know about, that you are not telling me?"

Quinn was suprised for a second when he was suddenly transported from Engineering where he had been helping D'BrooNi. Unfortunately that second was long enough for the Wahiri to clamp one of the devices on his chest.
"You're my pet now, Wingman," she purred, "behave and you'll have a pleasant life. Be troublesome, and I'll make you regret you were ever born."
"Take him to his new home, I'm sure he'll find it very homey." She turned to Quinn. "Oh, and just in case you get the bright idea of tearing the device off your chest...try it!"
Quinn new better than to try and just stared at her.
"I said try it!"
Quinn sighed and followed orders, she would only turn the device on anyway.
"That'll teach you what you needed to know," Rakhi purred, caressing his cheek in a mock-affection, "you can't take it off without inducing excruciating pain. And it'll only stop at my pleasure, so if you try again, I might let you suffer for a while. If you're wise, and I'm quite sure you are a very wise pet, you'll behave and obey."
Quinn allowed himself to be carted off, they couldnt be that far from the Dark Pheonix if he had been transported, and with the upgrades to the sensors, they should be able to detect the ship.
"Why aren't you putting up a fight Wingman?" Blackfur asked, knowing what the Aasimar had been like on previous encounters between the Wahiri and the Loki/Dark Pheonix.
"Because I know that I'm going to be freed, and when I am, you better start running. You havn't beaten us yet, and you never will. Oh, and my name is Quinn, not Wingman, Cat."

Post by Dr. Valeia Roquel Mercy on Sept 18, 2007 21:43:43 GMT
Spotting Naois crossing sickbay to greet her, Valeia smiled weakly, happy to see him but too tired to do much more than smile. The doctor was well aware of how awful she must look, but there was nothing she could do about it. "Valeia you need to take a break. You cannot push yourself like this. You will exhaust yourself beyond redemption." he commented quietly, confirming the concern the Betazoid was already sensing from him.
The comment sent the doctor’s guard up, as there was no way she could actually rest with so many patients needing her attention. Valeia was about to say just that when Naois wisely changed the subject, seeming to know what her response would be. "How is Antoine? Will he recover?" he asked nodding towards Donolly.
The sudden change in topic threw Valeia off for a moment, as she had been prepared to defend her need to stay in sickbay. However, she was grateful for a topic that, at the moment, was fairly safe. “He’ll be fine once he has time to fully heal. In fact he’s already badgering me about returning to duty. I don’t think they’ll be any lasting effect, as long as he follows medical orders and does what he’s told.” Valeia replied with a wry smile.
Naois smiled slightly too before pulling her into a quick hug. All Valeia wanted to do was rest her head on his shoulder and stay there indefinitely, but he quickly pulled back to kiss her gently. When Naois pulled back again, the doctor could see the intense worry in his eyes.
"Something is troubling you. You are hiding something from me. Why are you hiding something? Is there something I need to know about, that you are not telling me?" he asked, clearly concerned and even a little hurt as he gently pushed her dusty hair back from her face.
Valeia absolutely hated seeing Naois worried about her, though she should have realized that he would be able to sense she was holding back something. She hated even more the idea keeping what had happened from him would hurt him. Unfortunately, the doctor really didn’t want to talk about everything right now, and what she had to say would only make him more worried and maybe upset.
Too exhausted to argue or to try and come up with something else to cover what she was really hiding, not that it would have worked had she tried, Valeia simply glanced at the ground and said, “I really don’t want to talk about it right now.”
Bracing for either an argument or another request, Valeia was surprised when he simply replied, “Ok,” before pulling her back into his arms and holding her close. Blinking back tears, Valeia rested against him while he gently rubbed her back trying to comfort her. Somehow, simply allowing her to tell him in her own time brought her emotions into focus and created a desire to tell him that no amount of pushing or asking ever could have evoked.
At that moment, something started happening with a patient across the room, and Valeia’s attention was pulled back into the current situation where she was needed. Sniffling slightly and continuing to blink back tears, she smiled sadly at Naois. “I need to get that. You can talk to Donolly if you want. In fact, talking to him might help keep him here. And I’m sure talking to a counselor would help some of the other patients. Everyone’s been through a lot.”
Naois’ eyes never left hers, as he pushed her hair behind her ear. “And what about you?” he asked, still concerned but not pushing for more information.
Taking his hand in hers, Valeia smiled up at him. “I feel better just knowing you’re here if I need you. I’ll be sure to find you if I need another hug.” the doctor promised, squeezing his hand gently before leaning in to give him one more kiss.
With that, Valeia moved back across sickbay and settled back into a more calm, professional state of mind. She really did feel better knowing Naois was there and felt much more able to continue working than she had a few moments before.

The Kzinti sighed, having been blocking the door for sometime. Though he did not understand the concept of an alternate posting, he was not going to question his superiors in a time of need.
However, this did not mean that he was not going to have a word with them.
He peered over to the physician, "If you are not familiar, that Tellarite is the one that I spoke of earlier. He is a good bit of the reason that there was a variety of explosions aboard this station earlier." Pausing after he said this he moved over, running the stave of his dermal regenerator around the afflicted skin of a patient without speaking a word. He understood that he would probably lack bedside manner so it was most likely best if he attempted to say nothing at all.
As he turned back to his post, he again looked over to the Betazoid, "If I may, I wish to understand what you were doing. I am surprised that you did not attack him for invading your boundaries. I recognize that Betazoid and Human women are sentient, however, you must retain some instances of territoriality that are present in so called lower life forms."
The feline then raised an eyebrow, "Or are you marking your territory on him, or something to that effect?"
Looking back to his very haphazardly constructed tricorder there was a bit of a fluctuation on a graph or two. Finding those whom produced it before him he moved to them with a bit of rather lopsided 'feline grace.' Again removing the dermal regenerator he was able to efficiently repair the skin damage done to them before returning once more to his post.
Perhaps he wasn't that bad of a nurse after all.

Sharon heard the call from engineering, apparently the lost their tactical/ security officer by the aliens, she rain scans to determine the point of origin of the transporter beam, the sensor that had been attached to the alien ship was now being picked up by their sensors.
"Captain, I am picking up the sensor bearing 224. mark 75 heading away at warp 4." She said.
"She watched as the assimer ships made haste to go after the alien ship, the tension was still high on the bridge and the kidnapping of a officer did not set well with the crew.

Things in sickbay had proceeded smoothly since Naois’ arrival. While he had previously given Valeia something to be emotional about, whether worried, happy, or upset, his presence in sickbay was currently a calming influence on the CMO. Even completely exhausted and still with a bit of a headache from the concussion, just knowing Naois was nearby seemed to greatly affect the doctor’s mood. The nursing staff had immediately picked up on this and whispered to each other about it on more than a few occasions as patient after patient was treated and released.
The Tellarite patient remained unconscious on a biobed, and as Valeia scanned him in preparation to revive him and reached for the hypospray to wake him, the Kzinti watching the doors spoke up. "If you are not familiar, that Tellarite is the one that I spoke of earlier. He is a good bit of the reason that there was a variety of explosions aboard this station earlier."
This information startled Valeia, who immediately placed the hypospray back on the tray. No one else seemed to have heard the Ensign’s remarks, so the doctor had moved quietly to speak with Lieutenant Brooks. Ian was clearly not happy about still being confined to sickbay but not interested in challenging Tak to leave.
“Lieutenant,” Valeia addressed him as he sat up. “I was just informed that my Tellarite patient is responsible for the explosions on the station. I’m going to order that he remain sedated, but since you’re here in sickbay, would you keep an eye on him for me and inform security of the situation?”
<Tag Brooks>
As Ian moved away to deal with the security issue for her, Valeia sighed heavily before yawning slightly. She was clearly wearing down, but there was still far too much work to be done to take a break. As she turned, the doctor came face to face with the science officer once more.
"If I may, I wish to understand what you were doing. I am surprised that you did not attack him for invading your boundaries.” the feline began calmly indicating towards Naois across the room. “I recognize that Betazoid and Human women are sentient; however, you must retain some instances of territoriality that are present in so called lower life forms. Or are you marking your territory on him, or something to that effect?"
Valeia froze, as she stared at the officer. Her mouth opening and closing in a manner very similar to a goldfish, the doctor tried to come up with something, anything to say to that. Her reaction was mostly shock, but her face reddened slightly as she hadn’t realized that anyone had been watching them that closely.
The Kzinti’s scanning device began beeping at that moment, drawing the feline’s attention away from Valeia and towards a patient who apparently required his dermal regeneration skills. As Tak moved away, leaving the still surprised doctor behind, the humor of the situation suddenly became apparent, and the Betazoid had to struggle to keep from laughing at the idea she had been marking Naois as her territory or attacking him for invading her personal space.
The more she thought about it, the funnier it became, and the exhausted doctor had to clap her hand over her mouth to keep from bursting in laughter. From across the room, Naois seemed to pick up on her emotional response, and raising an eyebrow began to move towards her to find out what was so funny.
Valeia waved him off. If she told him what Tak had just said, the doctor really would start laughing and perhaps not be able to stop. Although laughter was indeed the best medicine, it tended to work better if the patient was the one who was laughing and not the doctor. That would be an accident waiting to happen.
Naois was looking at her curiously, but Valeia signaled to him to stay where he was shaking her head. Without really thinking about what she was doing, she quickly thought, “I’ll tell you later,” in the Vulcan’s direction and then turned away to inform the nurses to keep the Tellarite sedated, completely missing the shocked look on Naois’ face as he had actually heard what she had thought.

Post by K'nara Corval on Sept 22, 2007 20:34:56 GMT
"Set course to FOLLOW THE AASIMER." K'Nara bellowed. Wondering why in the name of Kahless everyone just seemed to be gawping after sharon had informed them the other ships were following it moving away at warp 4. The station had exploded. There was nothing more they could do at that moment. All the debrie was still going to be here when they got back.
And besides the occupants of the cloaked vessel had just swiped Quinn Dexter from right under their noses. That made this just more than a little personel.
"Mr Horn and Miss Evans pull up everything you have on our past experiences with the Wahiri. I want an idea of what to expect. What will they do to Dexter? What demands are we likely to face? Could this be a trap? Are they luring us away for some other insideous reason?" K'Nara barked. Someone had to be asking questions right now.
"Ops," the Klingon continued. "Scan the region of space we are heading into, I do not want any more suprises if we can avoid it."
"Ahh maam," came a timid voice in response.
=^=D'BrooNi. Get those upgrades online, double time and liase with Mr Horn and the Aasimer. I want a full analysis of what we got on that vessel=^=
She turned back to Brahms not giving the Trill a second to respond. "Wahiri, this is the race who kidnapped you? It is more than likely that Quinn is still alive?"
<Brahms>
"Maam," she whirled round to Peter Horn. "Sickbay reports that we have in custody a Tellarite who is believed to be behind the bombings on the station."
K'Nara fought to keep her face passive and not let the anger she was feeling just at looking at this man show through to the entire bridge. That news was at least something.
She hit her comm. Badge. =^=Corval to Doctor Roquel. A security team is on the way=^= she nodded at Horn but he was already on that and made his way to the Turbolift.
<Everyone>
Occ - sorry folks been a busy week.

"You heard the XO," Mel yelled.
"Nearly there chief. These sensor programs are amazing, we could . . . . ." Charlie started but tailed off at one look at Mel's face. Now was not the time. They could look over what the Aasimer had shared with them in full detail later. No doubt it would provide interest for many weeks. Any kind of superior technology would.
Mel knew K'Nara was more than a little bit rattled and to tell the truth so was she. Every time the wahiri showed up one of her male friends ended up kidnapped and tortured. She was going to find a way of stopping the feline race of beaming right through their shields if it killed her. She tapped her fingers angrily as she poured over the wahiri ship data and older reports from their past encounters. Hold on Quinn she thought.
Meanwhile in sickbay
Ian was more than happy to keep an eye on the prisoner. He flashed a grin in thanks at the new doc. After alerting Horn of the situation he happily furnished himself with a phaser from the emergency locker at the back of sickbay. Luckily he was of high enough rank to have the access code.
Harley had injected him with something so he was feeling much much better right now. To tell the truth he had as soon as he had known Mel was safe and off that station. He moved towards the K'zinti, keeping his eyes on the prisoner at all times. Okay he was supposably sedated but you never could tell.
The cat being was stood guarding the exit of sickbay and for a moment eyed him up as if Ian was going to try escape again. It dawned on him that he might not be aware he was a security officer as he was unfortunately he was in his own clothes having been in sickbay for days due to his head injury.
"Glad to see you back on your feet buddy. Care to tell me the background on this guy before my boss and his security team get down here?

Sharon's fingers flew across the board as the ship moved and headed after the other ship, they stayed on its tail for awhile at warp 5 but no signals were being sent and they refused to answer phoenix's hails. then Sharon caught something, the other ship changed direction.
"Commander, the wahiri ship has changed direction and is heading for a type 3 class nebula." Sharon said.
They stayed with the other ship and slowed down before entering the nebula. Sharon knew the danger of entering the nebula and was ready to come to a complete stop if necessary.

She vowed to return, but no-one, least of all him, thought it would be this soon ..
Rakhi had relinquished a vast amount of her 'personal' wealth in trying, albeit un-successfully, to take him once before .. Marcus knew she wouldn't give up ..
'She cant have organized, let alone funded all this herself' he thought, as he watched his Executive Officer barking orders at the Bridge crew ..
"Set course to FOLLOW THE AASIMAR." she almost yelled. Hardly waiting the the ship to jump to warp before considering repeating the order.
Once she was, somewhat satisfied that everyone was doing all they could and more to comply, she turned her attention to the Commodore ..
"The .. Rakhari .. This is the race who kidnapped you ? .. It is likely that Quinn is still alive ?" she asked.
Brahms gave the question due thought ..
"Yes ... Yes he's still going to be alive .. Unless she's now developed an 'issue' with the Aasimar that is .. And even then she wouldn't kill Quinn .. Even for the sport."
"That .. Commodore .. Is hardly an explanation." K'nara said, seating herself beside the Captain of the Phoenix.
"K'nara .. You have full access to the files and reports concerning the Loki and the incident with the Wahiri .. I'm sure you wi ......"
"I have read the files." K'nara interrupted, But Hundreds have perished .. Resurrection is in an all but ruined state .. All this to get you ?"
"No !" Brahms said, a lot quicker than he intended, but his XO caught it, "No .. There's no way she or 'whoever' is helping her would go to these lengths for me ......"
"Commander, the Rakahri ship has changed direction and is heading for a type 3 class nebula." Sharon said.
"Follow them." Brahms said quietly.
He was pleased that his Navigation Officer slowed their head-long rush as they approached the Nebula itself ..
K'nara watched him for a moment, before standing and moving to the view-screen .. Her eyes seemingly attempting to pierce the multi-colored image to find the Wahiri ship ..........

OOC: just noticed that the race should actually be Rakhari, their ship was the Wahiri, not the race. Having discussed with Brahms, from now on, all posts should have them as the Rakhari.
<onboard the Rakhari ship, torture room>
"So, wingman..." Blackfur started but Quinn interupted him.
"It's Quinn, or Dexter, not Wingman, Cat." Quinn said, a smile on his face as he wound up his captor.
Blackfur hissed at him. "Silence, I will call you what I like, and what I like is Wingman. I'm guessing you want to know why we took you?"
"Nope."
"Hah, like I believe you, but we wouldnt tell you anyway."
"Thats comforting that at least its that important that you wont tell, would hate for you guys to come capture me for kicks and giggles."
Blackfur hissed again. "Keep this up and I'll kill you anyway, whatever Rakhi says we need you for."
"And what does Rakhi need me for?" Quinn tried to take advantage of Blackfurs irritated state and get some answers.
"Smart, wingman, smart, but not smart enough. I'm here to interrogate you, not the other way round."
"Well, you'd best get to it then."
"I'm going to enjoy this." Before Blackfur could start though, the door opened and in stepped Rakhi.
"Ahh, my illustrious host, I do have to say, your decor is simply amazing, how did you pay for all this after we or the rebel Aasimar blew up your ships?"
"SILENCE." Rakhi roared, lightning quick, her claws were at Quinn neck as he hung from the chains supporting him. "Despite what you beleive, four ships escaped the battle between us and the Aasimar, though they were able to take the rest, you destroyed two and then sacrificed your own ship to destroy the Wahiri, one ship remained cloaked for us to escape on. But, enough of the back story, I want to hear your cries, then we can send them to your frail human friends."
Quinn sighed. "This torture thing is really getting old now, can't you think of anything else?"
"Thats it, I've had it with the backtalk." Rakhi enabled the device on Quinns chest.

=^= DaiMon Beel to Rakhi =^=
Static ...
=^= Beel to Rakhi .. Answer NOW =^= said the Ferengi Captain, getting more and more annoyed by the second.
"Halt the ship !" he ordered his Helmsman ..
The Bridge crew all stared at him, both in shock and confusion ..
"Do as I SAY !" Beel shouted, "I have had my fill of 'unseen' cargo's .. Unseen contracts .. Unseen ...... !"
=^= What do you want Beel .. I am a little 'indisposed' at this moment .. As such .. Less than inclined to speak to you .. Your 'interference' had better prove justified =^= Rakhi said, keeping one thirty centimeter claw under Quinn's chin .. He tried to lift another few millimeters as he felt the blood begin to flow from the wound .. Rakhi totally ignored him ..
=^= We have been approached by a federation vessel =^= DaiMon Beel said, hoping to get a reaction .. He wasn't disappointed ..
=^= WHAT ! =^= Rakhi almost screamed ..
Beel glanced round his Bridge .. This communication suddenly didn't seem his best idea .. But he was light-years from the Cat, and wanted to show, he was more than willing to hold his 'employers' to ransom .. Especially if it gained himself, and his crew, even more Gold-pressed Latinum ..
=^= I .... WE .. =^= he quickly corrected himself, =^= Have decided that we should be 'better' rewarded for our efforts .. The next ship may not be as accommodating in excepting our word on whatever it is we are carrying for you ...
He let the comment sink-in before continuing ..
=^= IF we are boarded .. It could prove .... Embarrassing .... =^=
=^= You feel then that you deserve better recompense for your services ..... Very well .. Send your current co-ordinates .. We will rendezvous as soon as possible .. Do NOT attempt to look further into your cargo Beel .. I will not allow you to jeopardize my plans ! =^=
Rakhi spun away from Quinn .. Screaming in rage and frustration ...
"Trouble in paradise then ?" Dexter said, as cheerfully as he could manage ..
Every fibre of Rakhis' being wanted to seperate Quinn's head from his body .. But she restrained herself .. One of the very few times she'd do so ..
"Get us out of this Nebula .. NOW !" she ordered ..........

He didn't wait for permission to take the shuttle .. His idea was sound, so he went to carry it out .. Brahms kept a very close eye on what the Flight Instructor was up to though ..
He spent almost forty five minutes scanning the damage to Resurrection. Before letting the shuttle drift toward the lowermost decks, and the actual 'underside' of the base itself ...
He was planning on traversing the underside in a seeming effort to check for further damage. But the Alien ship had other idea's ..
It suddenly began to move ..
Several explosions could be seen from the Phoenix, obviously some form of diversion .. But Rampton's shuttle was buffeted by the closeness of the enemy vessel as it passed ..
=^= Brahms to Shuttle .. Get back here now Commander .. We're leaving =^=
Mike looked up at the Phoenix, and the other ships as they spun on their axes to face the direction of the fleeing Vessel ..
=^= Forget about getting me back aboard Commodore .. Go the HELL after that ship .. I'll dock with Resurrection and see if there's anything salvageable =^=
=^= Mike .. We may need you here =^= said Naois.
=^= No Captain .. You'll do just fine without me .. Besides .. I may be more help here .. Now I'd go if I were you .... Sir .. that ship is opening up a fair bit of distance =^=
There was no reply, Mike watched as the Dark Phoenix seemed to rotate then move away, first under impulse, then vanishing as it jumped to warp ...
Mike began to look for an air-lock on Resurrection, that wasn't open to space ..........

Post by Naois Mercy on Sept 25, 2007 12:11:03 GMT
Naois stood in the middle of sickbay, his hands clasped behind his back, a shocked expression on his face. Attack him? Why would she do that? He turned to the Kzinti, raising an eyebrow at him. "Ensign, what made you think Doctor Roquel would attack me for invading her private space? Is that what happens if you invade a Kzinti female's private space?"
He walked up to Brooks and Tak. "I assure you, Valeia would not attack me under any circumstance and I would be very careful about not hurting her feelings." He paused, catching Brooks' amused smile. "The doctor and I ..." He paused again, trying to find the right words. "We are dating," he finally settled on, even though he recalled they hadn't even had an official date yet. He would have to set that straight soon. Then he offered a slight smile to the feline, knowing Brooks would understant his intent. "I will claim her as my woman," he confided to the Kzinti officer, "in due time."
After this, Naois walked away, towards where Valeia was checking up on another patient. Sickbay was crowded, the nurses working as hard as they could and naois even noticed the EMH running back and forth between patients. A nurse walked up to him and handed him a cup of coffee, which he gratefully took. The brew was oddly bitter and it wasn't served the way he usually drank it, but it was better than nothing and the caffein would keep his senses alert.
"Valeia, you need to take a rest," he said after a long silence, noticing how exhausted she looked, "and a shower." He gave her a pointed look, trying to get across that he wasn't joking. When she tried to walk away, he grabbed her wrist and turned her to face him. "I am serious Valeia, if you keep this up you will collapse, and then were will your patients be? Come with me, you will take that rest now, and I will not hear any argument about it." When she didn't budge, he simply slung her across his broad shoulders, winced ever so slightly, but he was determined to get her out of sickbay.
When they reached her quarters, he first set her down in the bathroom, turned her shower on for her then turned his back to her, guarding the door but not looking at her. It wasn't proper.
